Victory against hedonistic sex "education" in Costa Rica

Since August of 1998, the First Lady of Costa Rica was promoting the implementation of a national program of sex education for children and youth which would conform to Christian values. Unfortunately and without the fault of the First Lady, this program got into the hands of "experts" in the ideologies of "gender" and sex education that promote homosexuality, sexual liberty and contraception.

Around January of 1999, the Asociación en Defensa de la Vida (ADEVI), HLI's affiliate in Costa Rica, became aware of the dangers and alerted the Catholic Church and other authorities. The ecclesiastical hierarchy mobilized at once and formed a commission of several lay persons and a priest who are experts in these topics.

Meanwhile the government convened another committee of six feminists in favor of "gender" and of "equality" (euphemisms to cover-up the already mentioned evils.) The two committees convened and a large ideological battle ensued, in which ADEVI assisted the ecclesiastical committee.

In October of 1999, the feminists retreated and the final document of the First Lady was in accord with Christian values and morals, that is, in defense of life and human dignity.
