Pro Vida Cuba, the pro-life apostolate of the Catholic Church in Cuba, celebrated the Day of the Unborn with the music festival "Let’s Celebrate Life!". The Episcopal Conference of Cuba proclaimed the Day of the Unborn on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25th., which this year fell during Holy Week. Thus, the celebration was moved back to April 14. There were over 1000 people in attendance at the Festival and over 250 performers, including among others, a choir of children with Down Syndrome and a blind solist. The apostolate of Pro Vida Cuba (PVC) is made possible by the support of HLI who in 1995, worked to found it with the help of HLI Costa Rica. Today, PVC has representatives in all the diocesis of Cuba and over 100 pro-life leaders who are instructors of the Billings Method of Ovulation under the expert instruction of Dr. Maria Concepción (Conchita) Morales Peralta, Director of Pro Vida Cuba.
